Ingredients For The Vada

1/2 Cups Boiled, Peeled And Mashed Potatoes
2 Green Chillies
1 Small Inch Of Ginger
1  Tbsp Grated Garlic
1 Tsp Mustard Seeds
1/2 Tsp Hing
6 – 8 Curry Leaves
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder(Haldi)
Salt to taste
Oil, For Frying

For the batter

100g Besan (Gram Flour)


1.Grind the ginger and garlic.

2.Heat the mustard seeds until start to crackle, then add curry leaves, chillies and sauté for 15-20.

3.Turn the flame off and mix the potato with the spices (except the turmeric). Shape them into small balls.

4.Mix the besan, turmeric powder and soda for the batter.

5.Dip the potato balls into the prepared batter and then deep fry them until golden.

6.Garnish it and then Serve it.
