US Open: Rafael Nadal strolls past Alexandr Dolgopolov, enters quarter-finals after four years

Rafael Nadal demolished Ukraine’s Alexandr Dolgopolov 6-2, 6-4, 6-1 in the Round of 16 at Arthur Ashe Stadium in the US Open on Monday.

At Arrthur Ashe Stadium on Monday Rafael Nadal strolled past Alexandr Dolgopolov into the quarter-finals as the world No. 1 beat the Ukrainian 6-2, 6-4, 6-1.

The first seed has entered the quarter-finals in Flushing Meadows for the first time since 2013, when he won the second of his two US Open titles.

In just an hour and 41 minutes, Nadal brushed aside the 28-year-old breaking his serve six times and set up a match against either No. 9 seed David Goffin or unseeded Andrey Rublev.Though Dolgopolov was unseeded, he had won two of the last three meetings with Nadal.
