Ingredients Of Shahi Mushroom

  • For mushrooms:
  • 250 gm mushroom
  • Salt for taste
  • 1-2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp oil

For the shahi garam masala:

  • 1-2 sticks cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp cumin seeds
  • 1 Tbsp pepper
  • 10 gm dry ginger
  • Javitri, a little bit
  • 1/2 Tbsp coriander seeds
  • 2-3 cloves (laung)
  • 3-4 green cardamom
  • Jaiphal (nutmeg) little bit
  • For the gravy:
  • 1 Tbsp ghee
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 Tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 Tbsp onion puree
  • 3 green chillies
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • Salt for taste
  • Water as required
  • 250 gm tomato puree
  • Sugar little bit
  • 2 Tbsp cashew nut paste
  • 2 Tbsp cream
  • 1/2 lime
  • Coriander leaves(garnishing)

How to Make Shahi Mushroom

For the mushrooms:

  1. In a pan heat butter, fry button mushroom with little salt.
  2. Transfer the shallow fried mushrooms into a bowl and keep aside.

For the shahi garam masala:

  1. In a pan, take all masala ingredients and fry for 2-3 minutes. Transfer to a jar and grind them.

For the gravy:

  1. In a non-stick pan. Add ghee, then bay leaf, cumin seeds, ginger-garlic paste and onion puree. Saute for 3-4 mins.
  2. Add the chopped green chilly.
  3. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and salt as per taste. Pour little water. And simmer for again 2-3 mins.
  4. In the mixture add tomato puree and a little sugar.
  5. Then add cashew nut paste, grinded garam masala, cream and half a lime.
  6. Add shallow fried mushroom into the mixture.
  7. Mix well the mushrooms and the mixture. Let it simmer for a while.
  8. And the shahi mushroom is ready to be served. Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves and cream.
